New Edward Sharpe-  Sorry a haven't posted for a while i've been sick and real busy, but I figured I'd tell you about the new Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros album.  I guess it was a few days ago that they released their second album titled "Here".  Like always there sound is different but always catchy with there use of a folk/funk guitar.  After listening to some of the songs they just stuck in my head for the rest of the day.  I can't say that I enjoy the new album as much as the first but its pretty good.  Compared to the first album it has a little more folk sound and less indie, but some could argue that those styles are one in the same.  Comment back on what you think.

New Passion Pit!-  A few weeks ago passion pit released a new single "take a walk".  I absolute love listening to it, it's just one of those song in which you just want to get up and dance.  I also thought this song was very different than tradition Passion Pit; I thought it featured many more rock/bass influence than most of their previous tracks.  Passion Pit has really nailed one here. Look out for their new which should be released soon.  Let Me know what you think...

Civil Twilight- I know that most of you probably know this band but I figured I talk about them anyway.  The alternative radio station around me keeps playing "fire escape" off of their recently released album.  I just cant get over how much they sound like U2.  Not just the vocals, but the lyrics and the instumentals.  I love the way they combined the modern synthesizer with the guitar, but I guess it is the new style.

Of Monsters and Men-  On  April 3rd Of Monsters and Men's debut album "My Head is an Animal" hit the stores in the US.  Much was anticipated out of the Icelandic band who first single "little talks" got loads of radio plays.  They remind me much of Edward Sharp and The Magnetic zeros because of the use of male and female vocal.  I always love the way their vocals and instrumentals go together in perfect harmony.  One of my favorite tracks on the knew album is "Mountain Sounds".

New album- Yesterday an indie band called Reptar released their new album titled "Body Faucets".  Reptar is a mainly electronic band with some odd vocals.  When I say "odd", I don't mean in a bad way.  They also feature a variety of sound with an awesome base and insane keyboards.  The album features 13 songs, a few of which have featured on previous EPs.  I am looking forward to seeing Reptar live along with Grouplove, from what I've heard their frontman makes the show with his unexpected vocals.  I left the like to my personal favorite son; "Stuck in My ID".

First New Band

Imagine Dragons- I was delighted when I saw them live about a month ago.  They used a special mix of vocal percussion and base.  I have a rough time deciding whether they are better live or recorded.  Personally my favorite song by Imagine dragons is "On Top of the World", it feature a uniquely tropical feel along with a powerful bass drum.  It truly makes you feel on top of the world.  I also enjoyed their headman Dan Reynolds, he is a wonderful, energetic singer, with a voice that could fill stadiums one day. I look forward to seeing them again at the firefly festival in June.Imagine Dragons- On Top of the World
